Dark surrealism artist, predictor of the miles county massacre, left with only the weapon of resilience, and her paintbrush as aid. ever stoic, but always looking over her shoulder. a taste for the grotesque used to captivate her, especially in her paintings, until the desire to escape her art had driven her mad.Drawn to the melancholic and depressive, lilith's paintings were usually grim. this was her outlet from the life of her deadbeat father and narcissistic mother, her SA experience with her first ( and last ) boyfriend, and the fact that she was never a people person. when art bestowed his atrocities — after his dealings with the devil — he gave her a new meaning for a tortured artist.After the cryptic events of 𝐭͟𝐡͟𝐞͟ ͟ ͟𝟗͟𝐭͟𝐡͟ ͟ ͟𝐜͟𝐢͟𝐫͟𝐜͟𝐥͟𝐞͟, art found himself drawn to lilith's own mournful attitude, finding her to be easy bait for his evildoing. lilith became art's own canvas for tragedy. there were days and nights of blackouts, episodes of lost memories. paintings that seemed to occur out of thin air, ones that were more disturbing than her mind could conjure. whether she covered them or burned them, new ones would present themselves, and art would essentially punish her. when lilith attempted to take her own life to escape the mental prison, art compelled her to keep painting with further gruesome inspiration. he would not let his toys go to waste.He'd manipulated and tortured her mind often, and at one point, it gave her visions of the miles county massacre. her mother assumed lilith's depression to have gotten worse, with symptoms of other disorders, so she was hospitalized. lilith was hospitalized after the events of 𝐚͟𝐥͟𝐥͟ ͟ ͟𝐡͟𝐚͟𝐥͟𝐥͟𝐨͟𝐰͟'͟𝐬͟ ͟ ͟𝐞͟𝐯͟𝐞͟, and stayed there throughout during the events of the miles county massacre. initially, lilith was misdiagnosed with DID and schizophrenia. the only diagnosis that came to be true, was borderline personality disorder.When art wreaked havoc on miles county during her hospitalization, lilith broke down in hysterics because she couldn't save who she predicted would die. instead, she was stuck in a locked room for a year. she berated nurses that she was right the entire time. not only were her words proof, but so were some of the paintings that art made her do during her blackout state. morbid, unsettling canvases of victims after they were killed. this revelation gave the nurses an internal conflict; nevertheless, it didn't stop them from assuming witchcraft or a demonic force tied to her. they refused to release her, and lilith’s mom would call her a demon, forcing baptism on her. for the first time in lilith’s life, she felt free when art aided in lilith’s escape when committing his gruesome acts upon nurses and guiding her out.During lilith's never ending dance with art the clown, she discovered that the miles county massacre weren't the only visions he provided her. what was once used to torture her, she began to use to her advantage; willingly crafting pieces that hinted future deaths to document proof and help her find certain locations of where they would occur. she took on the responsibility to prevent future catastrophes, which sometimes would deteriorate her mental state — though she couldn't let him win this game.When art finally met his fate with sienna, his focus drastically drifted from lilith. while this gave her a mental break, it also gave her time to prepare for anything — without a sword, but her own resilience.
